Western heritage came as no accident to the Davidson
family. Both sets of grandparents of Gene Davidson settled in western
Oklahoma, raised large families, and worked the land for their living. Moving
from farms in Harmon County to a jewelry business in Elk City, the Davidson's watched their two sons grow up in the small western
Oklahoma town. All four participated in the family business. Early on, Gene's
talent in art became evident. He developed this talent in copper work,
leather craft, then into various styles of jewelry. Gene always had a passion
for the western and cowboy life. His teenage years saw him and his younger
brother riding the rodeo circuit in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas. He portrays
this outdoor lifestyle in his jewelry, paintings, and finally cowboy and
rustic furniture. Heartland Rustics was born from the western lifestyle. Now Gene and Amy create, build, and market cowboy and rustic furniture full time. Our cowboy and rustic furniture have evolved into unique and durable products that will withstand years of wear and tear. Heartland Rustics newest line of furniture features the Iron-on-Wood design. You now have a line of furniture that appeals to the western and cowboy rustic life. All pieces are had built offering an individual look.
